For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by severe storms. Having Summers off from work here in "tornado alley" is really cool. Whether it's a tornado, large hail, lightning or flooding, I'll be there to take pictures!

A very narrow miss...the view from our patio

This rotating wall cloud produced an F3 tornado that tore up the Dollar General warehouse west of Fulton, and caused considerable damage to a nearby dairy farm. A local resident was also fatally injured as his home was demolished by the storm as it plowed northeast through the county.

A tornadic supercell thunderstorm

Though I never could get under it, the monster storm above produced several tornadoes North of I-70 in Lincoln and Pike counties.

Road trips through "tornado alley" in the Spring and Summer are a great way to see Nature's Fury. I always bring the video camera and the 35mm just in case.....
